DCCM Student Intern

 

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The Detroit Catholic Campus Ministry internship program provides students, who have completed their freshman year of college, with the opportunity to gain professional and pastoral experience in a variety of ways. The position will report to and be a key partner to the Chaplain in the day-to-day operations of DCCM. The program is meant to be an opportunity for students to engage more fully in the mission of DCCM through their work.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Assist with the daily operations of campus ministry
• Coordinate with the Chaplain and staff on the planning and running of various events
• Maintain the student database and help welcome new students
• Aid in communications with students
• Provide a welcoming and engaging presence for students
• Work to connect students with the work of DCCM
• Coordinate the promotion of DCCM on campus through social media and student assistance
• Being a responsible and trustworthy representative of DCCM when other staff members are not present while assisting in the opening and closing of the two student centers
